My best ever year of pies out of Denton... hail satan!

But seriously, friends... this is about pie.  And this is about my year studying them, and their nuances, and many fillings, crusts, and possibly mountain goats.

Still, this is about sweet pies.  Or, not so sweet pies, really.  None will ever contain vomit, I promise.  Also?  There really is nothing like cold water, in both pies, and just generally staying alive.  (Some Mountain Goats fans will get that reference.)  If you don't, it's OK.  The pie recipes will be universal.  And I mean that.   I will do my best to create recipes that will be easy to understand whether you use a scale, or measure in volume.

But I have decided to just really hone my craft, and spend a whole year on nothing but pies.  Anyway, stay tuned!  The best is yet to come, I promise!  I have even incorporated a little math, so we can work on these things together.   If you come out ahead of me, that's also OK!  I am designing this to be a communal effort, in which we learn, together!

In fact, you can give me advice in the comments, I will try these things, and hopefully learn from you, as well!

At any rate, this is going to be a very fun experiment.  I am gonna make it through this year, if it kills me...
